Hello, up for sale is a very nice Rare Antique 1800's Civil War Era Baseball Bat. This neat antique bat was acquired at an estate sale of a lifelong civil war memorabilia collector. Bat measures 33" long with 2" barrel, In decent condition for age with nice patina, some natural grain separation on end cap due to age (see pic #4). Note attached to bat reads " 1864 Confederate Prisoners Baseball Game Bat Johnson's Island Sandusky, O". That is only provenance to date bat unfortunately, and no way to prove legitimacy of bats history. Selling As Is , and overall, a very nice 1800's bat.
